Use the Shift load analyzer
What it measures
The Shift load analyzer records the motor-safety voltage readings during one shift. It reports the starting voltage, the lowest voltage, the size of the drop, the capture duration, and the gear change. You can view the graph as raw voltage or as the drop from the starting value.
The analyzer only observes and records the shift. It does not change obstruction sensitivity or any other shift setting.
Capture a shift
- Support the bicycle securely and turn the cranks normally.
- In Bike Setup, select the rear derailleur and choose Shift load analyzer.
- Choose Capture next shift.
- When BikeNet says Ready for one shift, use a normal shift control.
- Review the trace or choose Read captured shift if needed.
Interpret the result carefully
A larger voltage drop can point to a heavier mechanical load or a battery that sags under load, but the graph is affected by battery charge, shift direction, drivetrain condition, and how the bike is being pedaled.
One trace is not enough to diagnose a component. Capture a normal, repeatable shift under controlled conditions and share it with BikeNet Support, along with a description of the symptom and the gear change involved.
