Add and identify NXS components

Claim the correct derailleur, remote, or dropper and assign its position.

Add a component

  1. Open the bike in Stable > Bike Setup.
  2. Choose Add component > NXS drivetrain or control.
  3. Wake the component and scan.
  4. Use Flash LED to confirm the physical component.
  5. Choose Claim component and assign its position, such as rear, front, left Pod, or right Pod.

Why identification matters

A scan can find awake components on nearby bikes as well as your own. Use Flash LED and watch the physical component to confirm that you selected the right one before claiming it or changing its association.

BikeNet only shows compatible devices, but it cannot know which nearby device belongs to you until you identify it.

Understand the status

Bike Setup shows whether a component is connecting, connected, sleeping, not detected, low on battery, due for firmware or setup, or reporting an error. Sleeping is normal when a component has been idle. Wake it, tap Refresh, and give it a few seconds to reconnect.

For safety, BikeNet disables actions that change device setup while a ride is active. Finish the ride and support the bike securely before making those changes.
