Set NXS shift behavior

What each control changes

These settings change how the rear shifter responds; they do not correct basic derailleur alignment or a worn drivetrain. Make sure normal setup and tuning are sound first.

• Starting gear is the position where a continuous multishift pauses. Gear 1 is the largest rear cog and easiest rear gear.
• Overshift distance moves the derailleur slightly past the final gear position to help the chain complete the shift, then lets it settle back. Set it to zero to disable overshift.
• Overshift dwell is how long the derailleur holds that extra movement before settling, from 100–800 ms.
• Multishift delay is the pause between shifts while you continue holding a button, from 100–500 ms. A shorter delay produces faster consecutive shifts.

Change behavior

1. Open Bike Setup and select the rear shifting controller.
2. Choose Shift behavior.
3. Make small changes and save.
4. Test the full cassette on a stand, then in a safe riding area.

Make small changes

More overshift does not automatically produce a better shift. Too much movement, too long a dwell, or very fast multishift timing can make some drivetrains noisy or harsh.

Start with conservative values, change one setting at a time, and test the entire cassette in a stand before taking the bike to a safe riding area. That makes it much easier to tell which change helped.
