Auto-pause and Auto Lap

Auto-pause

Auto-pause keeps short stops—such as traffic lights—from counting toward moving time. Open More > Navigation and turn it on. BikeNet uses wheel speed when available and GPS speed as a fallback. You will see AUTO-PAUSED when the bike is stopped, and the moving timer resumes automatically when you set off.

Auto-pause does not end the ride, and elapsed time continues to run. For a long break, you can still pause the ride yourself.

Choose an Auto Lap mode

Auto Lap divides a ride into repeatable sections so you can compare efforts afterward. Choose the trigger that best fits the way you ride.

• Off leaves the ride as a single lap unless it has already been divided.
• Distance starts a new lap each time you cover the distance you choose.
• Time starts a new lap after the number of minutes you choose.
• Location starts a new lap when you return to the saved point after riding for at least one minute and 100 metres. The trigger area is about 35 metres across, which allows for normal GPS variation.

Set up and review laps

Open Lap settings from the Ride screen, choose a mode and value, and save. If you want feedback during the ride, add the lap number, lap time, or lap-average fields to one of your ride screens.

After the ride, each lap can include distance, moving and elapsed time, speed, heart rate, cadence, power, and elevation change. A metric is shown only if BikeNet recorded the necessary data.
