Cloud sync and Stable conflicts
What syncs
When you are signed in, BikeNet syncs bikes and components, completed rides, favorite places, training zones, ride-display preferences, units, currency, support conversations, and other account preferences. This lets the same information follow your account to another phone and appear in the My BikeNet portal.
The app also keeps local copies for normal use during a temporary loss of connection. Changes sync when a connection becomes available again.
Why a conflict can happen
A conflict can occur when the bike list is changed in two places before those changes have had a chance to sync—for example, if a bike is removed on one phone while another phone adds a different bike offline.
BikeNet cannot safely merge every version on its own, so it asks which complete bike list should be kept.
Choose which list to keep
- Use cloud bike list downloads the server version and replaces the conflicting list currently stored on this phone.
- Use this phone’s bike list uploads the phone’s version and replaces the bike list currently stored in the cloud.
