Components and bike value

Add a component

1. Open the bike in Stable and choose Bike Setup.
2. Choose Add component > Mechanical component or Accessory.
3. Pick the component category.
4. Add brand, type, size or specification, weight, cost, and estimated current value as needed.
5. Save.

What you can record

The component catalog covers the frame, fork, wheels, tires, hubs, cassette, chainrings, crankset, bottom bracket, derailleurs, remotes, chain, brakes and rotors, cockpit parts, saddle, seatpost or dropper, pedals, sensors, lights, batteries, motors, and general accessories.

Most entries are simply records of what is fitted to the bike. They do not change the hardware. When a connected component can be configured from BikeNet, the app shows a separate device-specific setup action.

Why the details are useful

A good component record makes it easier to remember sizes and specifications when ordering replacements or talking to a shop. BikeNet can also combine known component values with the bike’s value and keep those details beside the correct mileage and service history.

You do not need to complete every field. Record the information that will be useful to you later, and add more as parts are serviced or replaced.
